In 1978, David E. Bagwell formed a construction company known as Bagwell Builders. His main focus from the beginning was to deliver quality residential and light commercial construction. David strived to assure that customer satisfaction was a top priority. His hard work paid off as his small company grew by leaps and bounds.
In November, 1984, the company had matured and David felt it was necessary to incorporate. Under the name Bagwell Builders, Inc., David continued to guide the corporation as it continued to grow and in 1989, the company’s main focus shifted to primarily commercial projects. In August, 1997, the corporation was reformed and renamed Bagwell Contractors, Inc.
Today, our company is still growing and expanding. Whether we work from drawings and specifications provided by our customers or those we assist in the design of, our staff and associates give the individualized attention each project deserves.
As in the beginning, our customers’ satisfaction remains our top priority.
Our in-house work includes architectural design, estimating, costing, and site development design.
Subcontractors are used to perform the remaining activities such as grading, concrete forming and finishing, steel erection, carpentry, all finish work, roofing, paving, drywall hanging and finishing, storefront glass systems, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Subcontractors are required to be licensed and insured.
Bagwell Contractors, Inc., has completed work as a licensed General Contractor in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Bagwell Contractors, Inc., is fully insured. Coverage includes general liability, commercial property, commercial inland marine, business automobile, workers compensation and builders’ risk.

An audited Financial Statement is prepared annually by our CPA.

While serving on the Board of Directors for Laurens Academy, we contracted with Bagwell Contractors to design and construct a gymnasium. We have found the structure to be soundly built and have had no issues with the workmanship. Being a private school, we were on strict budget and time restraints. Bagwell was able to meet these without any overruns on cost or time. The school has enjoyed the gymnasium and look forward to many years of constant use.
